Travel Essentials for The Perfect Weekend

Packing at times can be the hardest part of planning your next big adventure as there are so many little essentials that you should bring and do not want to forget. Whether you are headed on a two-week European vacation or a short getaway to the lake, there are always some staples that you want to keep in mind, luckily Northern Hospitality has you covered so you don’t have to stress about the minute effects.

You have this awesome weekend planned, the suitcase is packed, and you are about to jump in the car after you double-check that list. Firstly, do you have your wallet or passport holder? Nowadays you don’t need the giant handbag to hold all your cards, you can use a sleek card older that would fit easily into your jean’s pocket, making sure your ID and cards are always near you.

This next item goes without saying but make sure you pack your phone charger. What I like to do is always keep an extra one stashed in my car because there have been times I have been halfway down the road and realized my charger is still plugged in at home. Keep in mind if you are traveling out of the country you will most likely need an adapter too.

Instead of having to buy water or a drink on the go, grab your trusty reusable water bottle. Most companies make some that can either be easily folded into a bag or can keep your drink cool for hours so there are plenty of options. The best part is you are not going to be wasting money buying new drinks every time you are thirsty as most coffee shops will fill up your bottle for free.

This next essential goes without saying nowadays but make sure to throw in your favorite travel hand sanitizer. There are some great options out there that have cute containers or smells. Inevitably there is always a moment on a trip that you desperately need to wash your hands but there is no sink around, this will fix everything.

Lastly, do not forget your trusted walking shoes. They can still be cute just as long as you find them comfortable to walk in for hours at a time. Nothing is worse than forming blisters as you are trying to visit a new area. It takes the fun out of your adventure and the wind out of your sail. But with these essentials, you should be ready to go without looking back in worry that you forgot something.
